      FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BESS PRESS CO-PUBLISHES COLLECTION OF ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON'S BEST PACIFIC WRITINGS

Robert Louis Stevenson remains one of the most popular writers of all time, of both children's and adult fiction. The new book Robert Louis Stevenson: His Best Pacific Writings, published simultaneously in North America, Australia and New Zealand, shows Stevenson's Pacific writings to be important, richly entertaining and central to understanding one of the world's most enjoyed authors. This is the FIRST and ONLY book to deal with Stevenson's Pacific work and experience from a Pacific perspective. The fiction includes two of the author's finest supernatural stories, The Bottle Imp and The Isle of Voices, as well as his anti-colonial The Beach of Falesa.

The foreward was written by Samoa 's best-known fiction writer Albert Wendt. He is a Professor of English at University of Auckland and was recently appointed to the prestigious ‘People's Chair' at the University of Hawaii .
